Boston’s 19th Annual
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
DCR Hatch Shell
Registration and Rolling Start: 8:00 -10:00 a.m.

For the 5th year, WEGOTSOCCER is proud to be a sponsor of MSABC Boston. We are walking in Boston's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer to create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays. By walking and raising money for MSABC, we can save lives. Since 2007, WEGOTSOCCER, along with our friends, families, and partners, have raised over $150,000!

“WeGotSoccer has made breast cancer a priority by supporting Making Strides,” according to Donna Iampieri, Director of Boston’s Making Strides for the Society.  “The company is dedicated to working alongside the American Cancer Society to make significant progress in saving lives and for that we are deeply grateful.”

“We are honored to be involved with the many thousands of people who work with and for the ACS – all of  whom are passionate about supporting those who are fighting cancer and committed to working together to help  find a cure for this disease that has touched so many of our lives. Our goal in aligning with Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is to expose and mobilize our extensive network of families, many touched by breast cancer, in support of this cause,” said owner Michael O’Connor.

Our support enables the American Cancer Society to save lives by:
•    Helping people stay well by educating and empowering women to live healthy lives and reduce their risk for breast cancer, and to get screening tests such as mammograms to find breast cancer early, when it is most treatable
•    Helping people facing breast cancer get well by providing information, day-to-day help, and emotional support to guide them through every step of their breast cancer experience
•    Finding cures by investing in and conducting research that leads to groundbreaking discoveries into breast cancer’s causes and cures
•    Fighting back by working with lawmakers to support laws that help women battle breast cancer and help all women get access to screenings and care
•    In 2009, nearly 700,000 walkers across the country joined the American Cancer Society in our united fight against breast cancer. Together, we raised $60 million through Making Strides events - and we did it one donation at a time. In Boston last year, 40,000 participants raised $3 million and, with your help, we are hoping to surpass that this year.

‘Our goal as a company is to make a difference in the lives of those effected by this terrible disease. Aligning with Making Strides affords us the resources of a tremendous group of people all working towards the same goal.’ Owner Mike O’Connor

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is more than just the name of an event; it
describes the amazing progress the American Cancer Society, with your help, is
making in the fight against breast cancer. Nothing can describe the hope that is
inspired by participating with others who share a passion for ending this disease.
Because nearly everyone has been touched by breast cancer in some way, hope for
a world with less cancer and more birthdays starts with us!
