Associate Buyer / Business Analyst
Job Description
WeGotSoccer (WGS)) is looking for an Business Analyst to join our growing team. This position reports directly to VP Merchandising while collaborating with multiple channel department heads. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, organized and willing to go the extra mile during to meet all deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Buying efforts to drive sales, manage inventory, and achieve the financial goals of the de partment. Also includes the merchandising and allocation of product from DC and stores to maximize sale s and profits.
- Manage the Open to Buy process and identify Key Performance Indicators
- Analyzing, buying, inventory management, open-to-buy, imports, logistics, including additional area s as needed. This includes all 3 channels of our business, Team, Retail & Web platforms. Responsible fo r all PO & style creation to fulfill all order deadlines
- Complete assortment planning and product life cycles manage a negotiation strategy that includes pr icing, vendor terms, and opportunity buys across all channels
- Stay abreast of market dynamics, competitive insights, and WeGotSoccer store execution while keepin g the company strategic vision in mind
- Maintain comprehensive category management knowledge including market, customer, and product
- Analyze product performance to strategically markdown product, effectively visually merchandise the category, and drive sales through merchandising
- Collaborate with eCommerce Merchandiser to identify assortment, placement, promotions, and marketin g strategies
- Collaborate with Team Sales Manager to identify those items that can be purchased through team chan nel to meet other corporate objectives
- Analyze the supply chain process and make recommendations to meet customer demand
- Generate and leverage reports for effective decision making
- Collaborate with VP Merchandising & Planning to create financial plans that will align with organiz ational goals
- Partner with suppliers on product development, as well as the Team Sales department on private prod uct label development, as needed
- Determine and gather information, evaluation of specific data and solutions Maintain daily production schedule between departments
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of buying in a retail or wholesale environment
- Proficient in data analysis and Excel, including data mining and pivot table
- Strong ability to communicate information and ideas through a variety of media
- Proficient at developing and using collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals
- Ability to effectively prioritize workload and the management of multiple categories in a fast pace d, frequently changing environment while remaining detailed and organized
- Experience with providing timely guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledg e/skill areas needed to accomplish a task or solve a problem
- Ability to set high goals for personal and group accomplishment; using measurement methods to monit or progress toward goals
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn retail management system software programs
